Calm Your Mind to Calm Your Body

Thought for the Day: Calm your mind to calm your body. Many of us live a life that causes us to feel anxiety. Sustained anxiety can cause serious health issues.

To help relieve anxiety, try this simple meditation technique:

Find something to focus your attention on, such as a spot on the wall or ceiling. Or, if you want to close your eyes, focus on one sound you hear, like an air conditioner or a fan. For a few minutes, focus all your attention on that spot or sound, letting go of all other thoughts in your mind.

After a few minutes of focused attention, follow up with your mind and body, check your gauges, as I like to say. How do you feel? Do you feel more calm?

Try this technique a few times a day when you feel anxious to calm your mind and body.
